| Downy Broome Bromus tectorum I use this as a living mulch. It is a self seeding annual. I use it in my black walnut orchard to conserve moisture and reduce weed and grass growth. It provides a thick mulch during July through September, by harvest time the stubble has almost returned back to the soil. There is a little problem with it germinating before harvest is complete if there is an abundance of moisture. Several other growers in this area are also using this method. | Seeds | (PlantFiles) |
