Ipomoea = Hummingbird plant, Trans-Pecos Morning Glory Ipomoea cristulata
I have seeds of this dainty vine, which produces red, trumpet shaped flowers that display all day. Yes, it's a member or the morning glory family, but an AZ and NM native. Re-seeds each year, but has never been invasive. Leaves are shaped like sweet potato - lovely and delicate. You can simply control by hoeing out young plants or thinning older ones. I always let a few grow wild each year as I love this vine - very cheerful and eager to always be part on my garden.
