| Texas Bullnettle Cnidoscolus texanus Nothing eats this plant. It is very toxic to the skin. It produces large whelps and can itch for days and weeks according to how much poison has entered the skin sight. The seed of this plant are eatable and quite tasty. However, the seed are well protected by the nettles that protect it. One can pick the seed pods from the plant with pliers. Drop it on the ground and grind it into the ground untill the seed can be safely picked up. The kurnel is covered by a shinny covering that needs to be removed to enjoy the tasty kurnel.
