Just picked up a bunch of seed for a relatively high price. Usually, I get seed from pods that a friend grows but when I saw a picture of this purple poppy, well it was pretty astonishing. So I paid what I had to and got it. I just sown a bunch of White single with lavender or lilac splotch's, many people say this is the " Tasmanian variety " what I have learned through research though is that the color of the flower is no indication of the exact breed, especially with flowers unlike the pom pom or black swan, which r obvious breeds. So anyway the variety I call the " common bread seed poppy " was sown with this newer BLACK SWAN . I will post pics when they bloom and with the seeds I have, well I would like to trade for the all white single pedal short poppies, They are usually grown in the hotter areas of the world, for example: India is a big one, they seem to have nothing growing but the short all white single and sometimes double pedal poppy. So I am looking to trade for them, I have some seed from a GIANT pink and purple splotch poppy from last year, and will trade some of that if interested, and also like said above I have the Black swan and the common White single with Purple/lilac splotch's on the pedals. By the way, The variety with the pink and purple, and also now that I think about it , well they grew extremely large seed pods. An insect got to a few and they oozed pink latex. LOL anyway Looking for the short, single, Indian white poppy seed. And bulk, about 2lbs or so..
