Kousa Dogwood
Cornus kousa

Grows well in severe upstate NY weather in extreme cold (below 0) and extreme heat (over 100 many days this summer), frequent heavy snows and ice storms, and drought conditions every few years. Beautiful solid white brackets covering the trees when not stressed. Second and third generation trees raised from seed start producing a show in 5-7 years.

Kousa Dogwood
Cornus kousa var. chinensis

I do not remember which var I have here but it blooms two weeks later than the typical Cornus Kousa with the brackets lasting over a month. The blooms are solid white with reddish tips.
