| Java Moss Taxiphyllum barbieri Hardy (& somewhat invasive) aquatic suitable for breeding tanks - good at catching tiny fish eggs or as shelter for fry. Can be attached to substrate as a "lawn" or to ornaments as small "bushy" growth, but requires frequent maintenance to remove excess growth. Prefers to grow on driftwood or on ornaments that have already been coated with algae, including the notorious red hair algae, which it displaces. Somewhat symbiotic with Java Fern.
