Perilla frutescens Fall 2021: fresh seeds I have two varieties- one I call "Oil Slick" which is a bright burgundy with metallic iridescence in areas of new growth- and "Reverse" with mossy/olive-ish green leaves with burgundy undersides. Both are attractive especially if you like similar coleus- While I would mostly refrain from calling it invasive, it does readily reseed if it likes an area but I grow it for bees as it blooms late in the season and remove seed heads promptly after they are done blooming- Note: This is an edible herb (used especially in Japan) often confused with basil.
