Epipactis gigantea

I grow these in a variety of potting mixes , in pots with deep catch plates, so they are always sitting in water up to 1/3 pot depth , they tolerate a wide range of light conditions but prefer direct sunlight half a day or more. I recommend (with pot culture) dividing and repotting every 1 or 2 years as the roots and rhizomes become a large tangled mess if allowed to grow much beyond that. I think spring is the best time to divide ,when plants are just breaking dormancy, as this enables them to quickly heal or out grow any damage done by dividing and repotting.
