Allium
Allium cepa

I was amazed at the spiciness, richness and peppery flavor. Stronger than a shallot and green onions. They grew well for me inside last winter 2013 in zone 5a and will be keeping these going...they are wonderful! It is the last day of June and the bulbs are getting larger, no sign of flowering and the bulbs are a nice purple color.

Allium Species
Allium tricoccum

I harvest and sell these leek plants and seeds here in Dave's garden. I believe these to be the most healthy of all onions. They do attract alot of bees.

Allium tricoccum Wild Leeks (Ramps)
This year shows to be a great year for leeks. Old wives tale is if you eat leeks three days in a row you will be healthy for the year. I do believe there might be something to this.

Just received this year (2011) Not ready for trades!
'Kona Sugarloaf' Plants, Roots, Tubers and Bulbs

Apios Species
Apios americana

It's a beautiful vine but is also very invasive so you will want to keep in container and do not let bottom of container touch ground or roots will grow out of drainage holes and make place in your gardens
Roots, Tubers and Bulbs

Borago Species
Borago officinalis

I grew this long before ever knowing it's healthful properties. The flavor is very good and I eat the leaves right off the plant and dry the leaves to make tea in winter. The tiny spines have never caused me any problems and for myself (have not heard anyone else mention this) it has helped me in times of deep depression, it does lift the spirits, have even added the flowers to wine...just like Captain Cook who first found this wonderful healing plant.

The perfect size for one person. The skins were extremely fragrant just before harvesting and also, when they were ready to eat, they came off the vine in hand so I knew they were perfect. True cantalope taste. Had several plants in pots and they did as good as the garden ones.
'Minnesota Midget' Seeds

Fallopia Species

The leaves are beautiful and mine are grown in large containers just in case it could be invasive but it is unlikely for zone 5a

It's to cold here in northern Pa for it to provide fruit, but it has had the brightest red flowers I have ever seen. They do grow fast and I do have many! No seeds with this one. Seeds and I do not get along that well.

Shoofly Plant
Nicandra physalodes

Was very surprised at how easy it was to sprout from seed and when plants were only a few inches high, it started flowering and hasn't stopped. From this early spring to end of Aug 2012 and it is still doing very well. The mass of true blue (sky blue to med. blue flowers) is amazing and many comment on how beautiful the flowers are, even the stems which are a dark purple and black and there is spotting all through the light green leaves with purple and black. Very attractive plant! Does seem to hold up to truth about keeping away white flies and have noticed black flies have not been a bother at all this hot summer at least near this plant.
