| Corylus Corylus avellana I purchased this plant from King's Nursery in the Mint Hill/Matthews area of Charlotte, NC on May 29th, 2011. I'm excited about its uniqueness in our landscaping! Phillip advised us that this plant will do well in our southern exposure, high sunlit area and that it will fit well in the 6' x 6' area we needed to fill. It should be a hardy plant with no issues and with high interest in its colorful foliage and unique, twisted branches that will be a "living sculpture" in our landscaping during winter time. It was after the purchase that I signed up for Dave's Garden and learned for the first time that this plant will draw the dreaded Japanese beetles that thrive in this area. I wonder if Sevin dust will be appropriate for this plant. I really hated how the beetles devastated the rose bushes I finally dug up because of their high maintenance... | 'Red Majestic' | Plants | (PlantFiles) |
