| Wright's Yellowshow Amoreuxia wrightii Hard, thick seedcoat for such a small black seed. Longevity? - currently germinating seed from 2005 at 60%. For small lots (2 dozen), I notch seeds with pliers and triangular file and water soak for swelling. Remove swollen seed to plastic tubs onto damp sterile piece of paper towelling and spritz with fungicidal spray to prevent daming off. Radicle appears in 48 hrs or less and rapidly elongates. Transfer to cells or pots. I did a research paper in the late '70s at Texas A&M on nitric or sulphuric acid scarification of lots of 1 hundred at minute intervals and I believe that 3 to 5 minutes gave the best results. | Seeds | (PlantFiles) |
