Totem Pole Cactus, Pachycereus schottii var. monstrosus
FREE to anyone in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area. I started this Totem forest from one arm that was about a foot long. This was 10 years ago. I stuck it in the ground and watered it a couple of times. It started growing immediately. It's a very strong strain of Totem Cactus. It has now turned into a forest in my backyard and is just wonderful, because there are no spines to harm my pups.
During the heavy rains in late November, one of the cacti just decided to lie down. I have cut many of the arms off and given them away to neighbors. They are great in pots or directly in the ground. The ultimate no-care xeriscape for your yard. Send me a DM and you can have as much as you want. | | Plants |
