Also known as Wolfberry. A vining shrub -- once mature will not require support. The Phoenix Tears variety of Goji Berry is nearly thornless(I have none so far) and quite heat tolerant. Prefers well-drained alkaline soil. Do not fertilize.

Grows very well in Texas. Thornless. Big berries. No issues with heat, sun, or alkaline soils. 2nd year growth flowers and has berries. Semi-erect -- does not require trellis but easier to manage and harvest when supported with posts and wire lines.
