| Vigna Vigna unguiculata My grandfather's neighbor gave him these seeds around 1940 or so. Our family saves these seeds every year. I haven't seen them anywhere else. They produce a pea that is larger than a purple hull and they are essentially idiot proof. I think you could grow these peas in the cracks of an asphalt road. When they are older, they sometimes are attacked by shield/stink bugs, but by then you will be sick of picking them.
