Fern Large deep green leaves This fern is great for a filler with luxuriant deep green fronds. Grows vigorously and thrives in high humidity. Great in homes, patios and gardens. The beauty is like a tropical rainforest. Mature plant height is 5'. Likes medium light semi moist soil grows fast and cold hardiness is 50 degrees F. I have over 30 plants around my home and would be willing to send cuttings to anyone within the US. These plants are very roaming so once you have one or more they will continue to spread. | Ochrosia Species Ochrosia elliptica This tree at least in south Florida is extremely hardy. Although it is very pretty it's a lot of work only becaue it's messy all year around! I am forever cleaning up the large rock hard red seeds off the ground.This tree produces billions of seeds! Unless you want a tree you will forever be cleaning up after in your yard this tree is tough and free of pest and not too tall with lots of shade. I have had mine for 14 yrs. never fertilized it or anything. But I am seriously considering having it cut down and replaced with something less messy. | Seeds | (PlantFiles) |
