This palm has proven to be very cold hardy for me.We had temps. this past winter down to 12 degrees for two nights and it dident get above freezing for 6 days.It had some cold damage.I do have it planted on the southwest side of my house.It grows faster than the Silver version,you cant even tell it had cold damage now.

The Silver European Fan Palm is much more cold hardy than the standard green version.I have 4 of them,growing in the ground.I planted them last spring and they have no damage from our winter cold.We got down to 12 degrees for two nights and it dident get above freezing for six days this past winter,it was a record breaking winter for low temps. and prolonged freezing temps.This palm is definitely cold hardy in zone 7b mabey even zone 6b.
