| Delonix Species Delonix regia I've read so many ways to germinate Royal Poinciana seeds but from my experience, I personally scarified my seeds with a nail file. Planted some seeds about an inch or so and I had some germinate and some did not. Right now I am housing mine indoors to protect them from the temperatures in Wisconsin. When the temperature become suitable enough, I will set them outside. This past summer, I used a 6-6-6 All Purpose fertilizer for their nutrient intake. This year in Wisconsin the temperatures have been extremely warm 90 degree's plus and my tree looks as though it is dead.
