Bernstein

I have had this brug. since last year, however I didn't get blooms until this Spring and I think it is just gorgeous. This is the most vivid orange I have seen on any brug. I have grown.

It reminds me of one of the "Little Monkey" series of brugs that Brenda Delph grew out from Ludger Schneider's seeds. The parentage of the little monkey seeds is unknown to this day. Looks to me like this brug might be a likely contender for one of the parents.
For those of you who are not familiar with the "little monkeys" they include such brugs as Jamies monkey business, ludgers summer dream, ludgers windsong amongst several others.

How long has Bernstein been around? It looks like the little monkeys series were registered in 2006, but Bernstein doesn't have a registration date.

I love Bernstein's shape and color. I finally got two cuttings that rooted this past winter.

I have had Bernstein for several years. It is blooming up a storm!!!!!!!! SUPER fragrant here!!

Mandarin Twist is another of the Kleine App babies that I grew of of Ludger's. : )

Ohhhhh I love the long trendils and shape on Mandarine Twist. I will have to add that one to my want list, which seems to be getting very long.
