Thornless Black Raspberrys?

Are there any black raspberry varieties that have fewer thorns or thornless? Also not too seedy? I'm in north Texas and being a berry newbie, not sure what varieties do well here in zone 7b. Also need advice about blackberry varieties that grow well here....hopefully thornless.

Also, where is a good online mail order nursery for berry plants?

Well, I can't give any advice on the thornless blackberries, but as far as ordering blackberry or any type of berry plants, I highly recommend Nourse farms. http://www.noursefarms.com I have ordered from Gurney's, Henry Fields, etc, and gotten tiny plants, or puny bareroots. A friend's dad, who own a strawberry u pick it, told me to order from here, and I could not believe the difference. The roots were HUGE on the raspberry plants, and the blueberries I ordered from them were huge as well, and all is thriving. I don't think there was much of a difference in price, either, but if there was it was well worth it. Good luck!

I'm reading really good things about Nourse so I will wait and order when they are open again this fall.

Nourse may be a great nursery but they are located in the far north and do not carry the varieties that do well in Texas. Bob Wells is located just north of Tyler and has been selling fruit and nut trees and berries for over 70 years. Top quality and fair prices.

Kenboy, this is great! It's right here in Texas and they ship year round. Thank you so much! They even have boysenberrys which I love but had no idea where to find them.
