Crown Jewel Gardenia

Greensboro, NC(Zone 8a)

Now that I have moved her into noon day shade, she has relaxed and opened her long holding buds. Plus, I figured out with my lemon tree, to get more blooms, I give it a little water every evening so I'm now doing that with jewelie now and she seems really happy. me too!

OMG she's stunning, dabney! I'll be interested to see how she does for you...are you going to be putting her IN the ground or keeping her in a pot? This might just be my must have for next year.
Meant to ask, Dabney - how's her scent?

She's going to stay in the pot so she can move with me! Everyone will be shifted to pots! ugh. The scent is just what you would want when you bent down to her.

Dabney, did you know this is the only gardenia on the patented list that I found. I was looking up the Gardenia Tree and found this instead. Lucky you to have one. JB
