I've been lucky enough to have a robin nest and hatch 3 eggs very close to my window. They've grown like mad but now there are only two babies and no sign of the third. i thought that if something was wrong with a baby the mother just threw it out of the nest but I've lookd all around and haven't seen any sign of it. They are in a lattice house so as far as I know predatores can't get in. Also there were originally 4 eggs. One didn't hatch but the egg completely disappeared. What would have happened to it? Anyone with info on these questions would be greatly appreciated. By the way they hatched on the 23rd of May.

The parents might have disposed of it when it didn't hatch.

Jays and Grackles will rob nests, and will try to chase other birds to get them to drop food, the Robins in my yard are constantly chasing the Grackles when they get to close, and Ive seen it the other way around also.

True, but they'd have left an empty nest! That the nestlings are still there shows they haven't visited.
