My tree is inside the tent with some pot plants and a heater.I usually keep the tent up until last frost.I can open the sides and recover it if necessary.

I had forgotten I had taken this picture until I saw this post. This was also taken December 2008 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I leave my Pink Dwarf Singapores out during the winter and only take them in when the night teperatures drop below freezing.

It wasn't supposed to freeze that evening so I left them out, but it wasn't supposed to snow either.

And here are the blooms on the other plant.

Plumerias can sometimes be very reselient. And other times they can be wimps!

Ok, you guys are temping my hubby to put one of his in the ground, lol. I hope he does it inside the greenhouse since we get high wind allll the time, lol. I don't feel like fighting with a tent.

This is the first year I got the tent up early, usually it was in the dark, very cold and windy and not fun at all after spending most of the day filling the greenhouse and garage everything potted and hanging.

I lost my wedding ring last fall digging up plants in the middle of the night for an early frost, lol. I was thinking its buried out there someplace. Maybe the carats will grow and I'll find it someday and have a big rock, lol. The next day I didn't know if it got planted in a pot or in the ground when I filled the holes in. Who knows. Thats when hubby decided to help me build a greenhouse. The garage was running out of room. Still have a lot of work to do on it but its mostly sealing it good before winter. Right now I need shade cloth on it. Have it on one side but need the other side too.

OH!!
Have you considered getting a metal detector to look for it?

I lost my wedding band tilling the garden one year, never felt it come off. Three years later i tilled it up again. Now it never comes off.

I am hoping to find it eventually, lol. I don't have a metal detector and don't want to buy one just for that but thought about it. It wasn't expensive but meant a lot to me. I feel like I will find it when I am digging sooner or later.

You can rent metal detectors. Or check your local pawn shop.
