Mandevilla x amabilis 'Alice Dupont'

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

I was so surprised this morning when I went into the bird room and this little lady was looking at me. She is only a baby and I am delighted. I bought two of them on sale from Logee's . The one is not looking as happy, but this one is just a sweetie. Notice the rain on the window. It is pouring and is expected to keep it up all day. Blah.

This may be a better shot of Alice. I think the other is blurred. Sorry.

Your cameras focusing on the foreground for you, JB...but certainly I can get the idea of how cute your new baby is!!! Any scent?

That darn camera is great but I never could figure out how to set it so it stays set.
I must work on that. LOL Very disappointed. Not a hint of a scent yet. JB

Are they supposed to be fragrant? I always thought Mandevilla laxa was the only fragrant mandevilla.

See her today. Hope this is the right picture.

I posted this on the fragrant list because I thought it had an odor. Well, I will bend over and you can all take turns kicking me. How am I to know there are flowers that do not smell at all. Good Grief. Hmmmmmm. I still think they are pretty. I wonder why God made them so pretty and did not give them a smell. I learn something every day. At my age that is wonderful. Think what the old people who do not have computers are missing.
Hugs to all you sniffers. P.S. I will take a sniff next time before I post a flower on this list. I promise, honest. JB
