Should I prune this plumeria?

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Getting ready to repot this baby that I rec'd from a DGer. Should I prune out a couple of these crossing branches or leave them alone? How should I treat them? Just let them heal or...?

Thanks,
Kathleen

mmm it's kind of a novelty to have so many branches, I would leave it alone. Do you know what variety it is?

I'd leave it alone for this year and it will be more apparent after it's larger as to where to prune to make it more balanced. Very cool looking just the way it is.I don't believe I've seen one branch like that. What is it? Don

Thanks to you both! I wasn't looking forward to chopping it.

NOID - she said it was a white one. It leafed out pretty quickly - amazing with our gloomy cool weather this year.
