Sorry that I didn't get a picture, but let me describe this behavior I have been seeing. For the last two days a brown thrasher has been fluffing himself up in a dusty area of my yard. He was SOOOOO fluffy he was just huge. It looked like he was having a dust bath. There were a couple of other brown thrashers nearby, unfluffed. Is someone familiar with thrasher behavior? I will continue to watch and try to get a pic tomorrow.

Yep, having a dust bath. A useful way of dealing with some parasites by smothering them with abrasive dust.
