What a pretty tree! :)

It's beautiful! Lucky you to have a place big enough for it.

Love it.

Very nice...and your critters will like the bounty come fall! Even my dogs like chewing on them!

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Yes. I am excited. I want chestnuts... (Although I am not really sure why..I had them roasted in France and I was not fond of them....)

Ginger, You don't have to eat them...they make stunning decorations for the holiday season!

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

I heard you can put them in a slingshot and drive deer from your garden :)

I think that's what my neighbors tried....that's why the deer that I threw rocks at went over to sniff them and see what I was trying to feed it. :)

If you're ever in Woodinville, there's a mature horse chestnut tree in front of Molbak's nursery. There's nothing like it for shade (except for maybe a walnut). And the blossoms are beautiful.

If I am in front of Molbak's nursery...then I will be inside Molbak's nursery.....

I smell trouble.

oh, and trouble is what you will be steeped in!

And if you're at Molbak's, then you would have wanted to contact Kathy & she'd call me & we could meet for coffee & a side trip or two or three, even four! Lots of nurseries in the vicinity that have more trouble than what MB's can provide. BTW, we are professionally adept at trouble...muawhahahahaha........................

Horse chestnut trees with room to spread their wings are some of the loveliest on the planet!

I was once crowned Queen of The Troublemakers on the AOL Bead Boards.......

I got a tiara and a blue feather boa....and if ANYONE here has seen that picture of the blue mooning of the feather boa..keep it to yourself.
