This is well over 5 ft now,I had to pull it down just to get a photo,I was lucky I didn't snap the stem into.
Red plumeria
Seedpods on plumeria take around 9 months to ripen. Keep an eye out for a telltale crack down the middle of the pod, at that time the pod is about to open. You did the right thing tying a string around it; a rubber band works too, or some people put a stocking or net bag over the pod to catch the seeds.
Thanks
I didn't know if the pod would break away from the plant,or if the pod would just open.
9 months is a long time,so July or August should be around the time line, for ripening.
Let me ask you a question about this,do you get many seedlings under your plants?
I have several different plants, but have to grow mine all in pots.
Beautiful plants. Great job.
Thanks
Usually they don't bloom for me,right until the time I have to bring them in for the winter,so I'm very glad there blooming now for me to enjoy.
NOW we can all enjoy them. I had never seen any before. They are georgeous.
Fragrance is wonderful, you'll have to get you some!
Don't think I could afford anything like that. Do they like full sun or do you have to have shade
the more sun the betta.
That sounds good. Any one got one they want to trade for something I have?
I got 2 plumeria, is it a tree or plant that gets real big? I have a friend that wants one called mardi gras. Someone sent these and doesn't know what color they are. They are about 6 and8 inches tall. How do I care for them when just potted. Don't want to kill them. How often to water. How deep to plant in pot. I'm lost. Know NOTHING about them. HELP!
If you just got cuttings,I plant mine in a cactus mix, water then don't water again until soil is almost completely dry or you see new growth, same if they are rooted.
Full sun
These have roots already.
the sticky that Dutchlady mentioned is an excellent resource. I covers all aspects of plumeria growing. I still refer to it frequently. I think you will find it very useful and informative. Of all the forums, the plumeria forum may have the best "sticky" section of them all.

Geez, didn't know we had a plumeria forum, better do a little looking around!
Or else I just forgot we had one!
To root after callus you just wet ,dip in rooting hormone and plant and water.......Correct????????
Thats what I do,if your soil mix has moisture in it,you might skip the watering, for these rot if too moist.
Drainage is the key in growing plumerias.
