CLOSED: Have: Flamboyant Tree Gulmohar (Delonix regia) Trees

Brewton, AL(Zone 8b)

Hello all, I have several small Flamboyant Tree trees that I am opening fr trade. I have several trees that I keep small in pots on my patio and I love the foliage. These small trees that I am trading are about 7 to 12 inches tall and I have about 6 total. In my region they have to come inside the sun room when we are expecting a freeze, but they have held up very well on the few nights that I have forgotten to bring them in. I am looking for other tropicals like gingers, tropical trees, any fruiting plant, bananas, EEs, etc. Just let me know if you are interested and I will be happy to see what you have. Have a great day.

Hi Plantguys, thats a beautiful tree and I'm always interested in anything different and up for a trade, if you're interested I would love to make a trade with you. Check out my trade list, also I do have some small Pride of Barbadoes trees about 6" that are not listed that could be traded. I have lots of beautiful gingers. Thanks....Oh, by the way, what is that tree?

I am on the northern edge of their range, but, I am trying one in the front yard inspite of the potential problems.

Here is a Delonix that is not widely grown, Smather's Gold>

WOW, that is beautiful!!! Do you happen to have any seed?

Tampa, FL(Zone 10a)

Sorry, Philippe Smather's Gold is a sterile hybrid, from cuttings only - and cuttings are hard to root.

Peltophorum (or Yellow Poinciana) looks very similar doesn't it?>

those look like some trees that I saw down in Key West a couple of months ago while down there with my daughter, she lives in Tampa....Oh, ya'll make me want to move to Fla.....with all those pretty things that you can grow down there...if I lived in Fla my place would look like a jungle, it almost does now here in La. Every time I drag in something my husband wants to know "Where ya gonna put it?"....I always seem to find a place.

It sure does!

Philippe, How long would it take to get big enough to bloom? How old in other words, or how many years will it take to see color?
