We purchased this "White" plumeria as part of a lot of 140 from Hawaii 2 years ago...and now it's bloomed! The flower is a deep yellow, with a bottom edge that is white on the front and a light pink/purple on the back. It is medium-large at about 3" across and smells like fruit punch. Any help would be appreciated.
Can Anyone Identify this Plumeria?
Thank you. I just read the Aztec Gold description and it sounds like a match! Appreciate the help!
But doesn't Aztec Gold have a 'Peachy' scent??
That was what I thought too...this one is more of a fruit punch scent...maybe my sense of smell is just off??
I just went out and smelld this one again...and now that I'm thinking of peach, I can sorta smell it.
Another of our "White" plumeria bloomed this afternoon...anyone want to try and identify it? Here's the new bloom... it's about an inch across, gold-peach colored with a light pin/purple bottom edge. On the back, the yellow is lighter and the pink/purple edge is more prominent. Very light generic fruit scent.
I agree! This was an interesting purchase...unfortunately we had 140 multi-branch plumeria's that were difficult to sell because we had no idea what they were... We ended up selling some of them as "Mystery" plumeria or waiting until they bloomed to offer them for sale. Most of our "Reds" turned out yellow. Most of our "Pinks" turned out white. Our "Whites" have been anything but. One Celadine turned out to be a deep dark red (Kohala, we think).
I'd like surprises like that :) They are beautiful...
