Here are a couple bloomed today. The first one is Silver Memories, and standing beside it is Lexie and the yorkie babies
New blooms today from Ohio
God has blessed you, I can't tell which is more beautiful, Silver Memories or that little gorgeous girl named Lexie, May God bless her forever, I know you are.
Wilfred
Thank you Wilfred, she is a ham can you tell, she carries those babies everywhere, she is going to be heart broken when we find them homes, and this is the last litter that is going to be around for a while. she loves her picture to be taken, and she also helps with the planting of all flowers, she knows how to pinch and replant, and she helps with the cuttings for the hibbies, she dips them in the root tone and then plants therm, she knows alot for being 4 1/2. She is the youngest of 7.
P.S. Hard to top this post for today, here smile just made my day. both bloom are just perfect.
Wilfred
Beautiful Blooms!!! Lexie and the pups take the blue ribbon today!!!
Robert
Thanks if the puppies could talk they would be saying "HELP" PLEASE HELP JUST DON'T STAND THERE!!
She keeps us on the go!
stplong, would you mien if I named my new seedling after your daughter, Lexie with her golden hair and sunshine smile the name is just perfect for this little sunshine golden yellow hib that just opened today for me. That way, every time it blooms I'll remember that beautiful smile she has shared with all of us.
Wilfred
Wilfred, that is really nice of you, Lexie just saw the bloom and she is jumping up and down excited. if you need her last name it is long. she is now dancing around.

What a nice thing to do Wilfred.
That Lexie is a beauty and she deserves to be in pictures with that smile that lights up the world. Cute pups too. As for the hibbie, it's a winner for sure.
Good for her, she's welcomed, I'll contact you through d-mail as soon as the cutting starts to grow, will need address to ship it to but that can wait till it's ready for shipping, right now I have to ship this week somebody else I promise some hibs a other plants as well, till then enjoy the photos.
Wilfred
"Lexie"
WE do enjoy them, we can't wait to get moved to South Florida, so we can have some nice blooms too.
Thanks again,
Patrick & Lexie
Really pretty bloom Patrick, like the cream color around the pink. Did you trying to cross pollinated her, I've notice some pollen on the pistil.I would have tried to put more pollen on it than what is shown on the photo.
Wilfred
Quick, send Lexie to me; this grandma needs a little helper in the garden. :-)
Both Lexie and her namesake hibiscus are beautiful.
Hi Wilfred,
I put as much pollen on it as I could, it seems like somes blooms have a lot of pollen and some don't. Just don't understand. I had one bloom from Firehouse today that had no pads don't understand that also.
Patrick
Ardesia,
Lexie would like to have a grandma to help, both my wife's and my parents have passed away before she was born. But , I have to say Lexie is a daddy's girl, she helps out in the garden, planting plants, pinching plants and she watches very closely when we pollenate, so she will most likely be doing that before you know it.
Patrick
One of Robert's daughters helps out and is learning the hibiscus business. I think that is so cool when young people are interested in gardening.
Patrick, I know what you mean about the pollen being scares on some hib. What I do in that case is that I wait a couple of hour after I've have take pollen the first time and try to get some more latter from the same hib, sometimes I get lucky.
p.s.
Seems I'm not the only one who noticed how gorgeous is daddy's little helper is.
Wilfred
Very nice indeed, love the color on it, the second photo does look neat, do you know the name of the plant, the flower has a clean apperance to it.
Wilfred
Hi Wilfred,
The second photo is a shrimp plant unlike any I have ever had before, it is commonly refered to as the squirrel shrimp plant but the proper name is Justicia betonica. A lot of our hibiscus have buds on them so hopefully soon I'll be able to post some more hibiscus photo's.
Patrick
Very nice stplong,
Looks like you have a great little helper too!!!
Robert
Patrick and Robert, you guys are so lucky and blessed to have such wonderful pretty helpers to help you, they sure look like their following your foot steps in gardening. Right now the only flowers my little 13 year old boy likes and is interested in are girls from his classroom at school. Your both great dads in letting your girls help you and in encouraging them. To both of you, HAPPY FATHERS DAY! in advance.
Wilfred
Gorgeous, gorgeous. I need some advice and this looks like the right place. I just got a large and rather leggy Hybiscus house plant. Looks very healthy despite the legginess. Not sign of aphids or others nasty things that can plague house plants. It's about 5 ft or a bit more. question: should I trip it back hard, what if it cuts off all the leaves? will it still leaf out again. will that encourage blooms. can I leave it outside for the summer and if so can they take full sun or do they like shade? any other advise.
thanks.
