You just have too many pretty Hibiscus Wilfred! lol They are all just beautiful, it must be a joy to go out everyday to see them in bloom

I have to get outside and repair my yard. We've had such hard rains all week that some of my yard is in the road with gullies left behind. My arbor also fell over, Its heavy so I have to wait for my boys to get home to lift it.

They seem to be doing fine. The Cup of Gold is getting taller, how tall does it get? The crown of thorns is blooming, The Desert Rose has leaves but no blooms yet. The blue butterfly is getting bigger, The yellow shrimp is hanging in there. the hibiscus are getting taller. I need to get them in the ground. Its been raining here ALOT! lol And the mystery plant is putting out another leaf. So everything seems good so far!

I'm glad to hear that there doing well for you, cut the Cup of Gold to the size you want, it can get pretty big if you let it, remember it blooms on the tips, the more you trim it, the more tips you get and the more blooms you get. Desert Rose needs sun light to bloom, at least half day,Blue Butterfly the same as Cup of Gold, trim to size you want. Crown of Thorns treat the same as Desert Rose. Yellow Shrimp plant, cut the point and put it in bright light, not in direct sunlight. and last get those hibs in the ground has soon as you cane or in a bigger pot which ever soot you best. hope this helps you.

I'm planing to cross pollinate "Blue Cajun" with "Painted Lady" to see what come out. Has anyone done this crossing before.

Does anybody know if "Blue Cajun" is sterile or not, I've pollinated it and cross pollinated it three time already and it has produces empty pod that fall of after there are half size, meanwhile I've pollinated other hibs at the same time and conditions and all have produced seed I've already planted and have started to sprout already.

I'll keep trying to get seeds from it until I get more info. but it's sure is frustrating since its the only blue hib I have right now to cross pollinate with. Will appreciate any info. on it.

Thanks Jon, If I don't get it to seed at least I have a beauty to look at from time to time, that's why I got it in the first place for..
