Crepe Myrtle Transplant ( Japanese Maple too)

Stone Mountain, GA

I AM IN NEED OF YOUR EXPERTISE!!!!!

I would like to move a couple of Crepe Myrtle's within my yard, is it too late to up root them. Would they survive a transplant?

Depends how big they are. Any one of "Size" over a few feet can be difficult to transplant and get all the root ball out. It's less of them surviving, more of them multiplying!!

Yes, I was going to say , make sure you get all the roots, they multiply like dandilions.(SP)

Consider what type you have before you transplant. There are Crepes that are small, like tall shrubs, and Crepes that are tall, like dogwood size. This is often an oversight when thinking about placing Crepes. Other than that, they are hard to kill without Roundup!

I would wait until fall to move them for best results especially Japanese maples.

hcmcdole is right. Wait until they are dormant.
