Thanks for all the Birthday wishes--I'm still not convinced becoming a senior citizen is something to celebrate! LOL--Alexandra--now I see why they call that a Goldfish plant! Nice! Here's a pic of a birthday violet given to me by someone who does not grow violets--She bought it at a drugstore almost a month ago, it was dried out and stressed by the time she gave it to me on Wednesday. I watered and re-potted--it's looking pretty perky at the moment. The sticker on the bottom of the pot says it came from Cara Nurseries in Canada--here's a quick pic I took yesterday.

They are not really mealy bugs (LOL)......just don't know how to work Photoshop Elements 6.....so those little bitty brown spots appeared out of nowhere...........
