This Elm tree has lived in some kind of pot all it's life. It is about 20 years old. My Mom sent me the seed from Mo. She's gone now but the tree is still alive and growing. I have to prune it back several times each year. There is also a Strawberrytree, there are several maple trees, 2 baobab, a small evergreen . Love container gardens, they are managable and very portable as long as I don't forget and let the plants get too large.

Elm Trees in pot
Love the red maple..they look great in a shallow blue glazed pot i think. Looks like they need some trimming and repotting into bonsai pots. Love to see some more pics if you do.
My husband loves the maples, so to be sure they don't grow out of control we put themin flower pots. I have never really pruned them back hard like I do the Elm Trees. The tallest of the Elm trees is about 21 years old. My Mom sent me the seed from Missouri and I have kept it pruned and potted, so it doesn't get any larger. I am going to work on it tomarrow because it does need another pruneing and the sign will be right to prune to encourage growth. I sure don't want it to die. Want to see if I can do the same with a redbud. It should be interesting. I'll see if I can get a picture for you.
