Impressive carnosas

Trelleborg, Sweden

When looking at some house photos on the internet I found these two impressive carnosas. They are BIG!

First two photos are of the same hoya.

Wow! They are large, and gorgeous plants!

Here's a shot of my original hoya carnosa that I had for more than 20 years. That thing grew like mad and flowered like crazy from February to October every year.

Christine, Do you still have that amazing carnosa? It is wonderful!

I have carnosa Krimson Princess that was given to me back in the mid 1970's. I divided it into two large pots and am waiting for blooms this year! Some of the foliage has reverted back to solid green but it's still my favorite Hoya, probably for sentimental reasons since it came from some elderly friends who have been gone a long time now.

This picture was taken last summer.

Christine,
congratulations it is gorgeous!

Lin,
just beautiful! Congratulations too.

Thanks. No, it got to big, and I sold it to the new owners of our second-to last house, but of course I kept a cutting or three... In fact I gave that new plant away last spring when we were selling our last house, but a good friend has it and I plan to get cuttings from her again.

Christina and Lin, those are really lovely and impressive plants. Its really amazing how big these hoyas can get if you grow them for a long enough period of time.
