WOW! Is that pyramid shaped plant in the middle really Cardiocrinum giganteum var. yunnanense? I looks like it has a single bud on the top.

Yes - the bulbs take up to 5 years to build up the strength required to flower. They can reach 12 feet high.

wow, we have 13 feet. further have read about the fact they do well in part shade. this giant is in full sun and on the Ocean front in British Columbia.

Forget a miniature garden, plant some of these and some Echium pininana, and you'll have a giant's garden 🙂.
