even tho the picture is labeled Xanth sag, --it is not a xanth, -it you note the cut between the leaf lobes, --it does not go all the way to the apex of the stem, -and--there is not a vein along the leaf edge, -like alocasia, --so---it is a Colocasia I can't see enough of the plant to identify the variety, -but it is hard to identify some of them when I have the entire plant in my collection, -[-I have about 40 ]

it is only about 3 1/2 ". could that be why?

in my opinion, no, --the division between the leaf lobes does not go all the way to the stem, - Xanthosoma, will have this division, even at a very young age, --it looks like a Colocasia, to me, --as the leaves do not apear thick enough to be a Alocasia, --when it gets bigger, you will see for sure, --Michael
