I went looking for galvanized troughs ( 5 gallons)and buckets for potting. Nothing real big and was shocked @ the price $ on them; $30-$45. Altho the only place I could find them is the local feed store. I have some plastic containers that I wish I could spray paint them that hammered metal looking stuff for metal. Any suggestions?
Galvanized steel buckets?
Krylon has some new paints just for plastic.
Do you have Habitat Re-Store? I found some great and very inexpensive galvanized containers there once.
I ended up buying a plastic container and a can of Krylon. Now my complaint is that I can not find a store w/ a good selection of the Krylon colors. I visited their site and they have an orange I can not find. Problems, big time problems!! Habitat for H is a great idea. Thank you.
Walmart has cans of metallic spray paint for $1.97... spray the pots and let dry two coats prolly., then take a little black acrylic paint (.87 cents at walmart) and lightly dry brush over it.. just to add a little depth. and Voila.. you have a faux galvanized bucket
cue, you obviously have a bit of "talent" running thru your dna. I do not. I did find some big black plant buckets, kind you get when you buy a tree, and spray painted Krylon on them.
LOL. I learned to be creative out of necessity. Im a poor single mother, its amazing what you can do qwhen you havent money to buy it outright
cue, yes! Altho you must have some God-given artistic something somewhere to get a faux galvanized look. God gave me other things but not free hand painting.
lol, ok.. a little creativity helps, but almost anyone can give a faux finish to things.
cue, I am special!!!!!!!!
lol... you could do it, I know ya could!!!!!
you must tell me the 1/2 way point between Palm Coast & Vancouver! This will be a hoot demonstrating that I have nothing to demonstrate!!!
ROTFL!!!!! faux finishes really dont require any artisitic talent... its mostly in the tools ya use...
