I would like to trade some of my old fashioned rooted lilacs for rooted antique or english roses. (I haven't had any luck with cuttings)

Sorry I don't know for sure. My lilac bush came with the house and is probably 100 years old. THey look exactly like the picture ;)

Darn. I have S. 'Sensation' which is bigger than I want. It's no growing in a gallon (?) nursery pot; I bought it as a tiny sprig a few years ago. I have since seen it at the Arboretum and realized it will be too big for my site. Sue, I don't have any antique roses anyway, I was hoping somebody else who wanted a lilac might come along. (Sheepish grin.) I don't know what else to do with it!
