My odd Rabbit

Frankfort, KY(Zone 6a)

Mom had babies last Monday, her first litter, 5 total. NZW. When I looked last week they were all doing well, one looked very wrinkled ???
I checked closer this AM and found this guy. Looks like he's getting milk but his fur is modded and his ears are not open like the others.
Anyone have any ideas ?

Could there be any curly rex in his backround? He certainly looks like he is developing naturaly other than that.

Don't they look like miniature baby hippopotamuses? At least that's what we thought about ours.

Let us know how the kit does!

It will be interesting to see how he/she grows up. Looks like it's keeping up with the others, size-wise? Almost looks like the fur has a sheen to it, like satin. I did a search and found this website for a breeder that is developing a curly/wavy/rex rabbit. It might give you something to compare to as yours grows.

Thanks Galles, I think we're on to something. I will post another pic Monday, at 2 weeks old

He/She is looking fine and the ears are opening up normally, I was worried about that.
I only have a buck and tow does, had an outbreak of ear mites, 3 adults, I treated that and must really clean the cages, if it stops raining.
I raised Chinchillas in Florida many years ago and know a little about genetics, recessive genes so if this guy grows up maybe I have something, never know where the next breed will come from.
It's getting a little hot here so I'll be sure to take exter care of this one.

Thanks for the help everyone, I'll try and keep this updated with pic.
