Dimmer, I just went shopping with a friend and she bought the same as your new tree, I believe it was labeled "Japanese Willow" and you can bet your butt I wanted one too but have no place to put it!! It is a gorgeous tree, hope it does well for you and you enjoy it for many years.
I just picked all my peonies, have a gorgoeous vase full of big fluffy lush pale pink flowers on my DR table...so pretty. I have tree peonies too but they didn't put on much of a show this year here.
Dimmer, so happy to hear from you and I love you for sharing your new home and tree.
Your streps look good! Just a little trimming and grooming and they look fantastic...............you must be a good plant mommy.
Love the iris and the peonies.................

Hey girl, glad to see you around the garden.Love your tree and plants!
Welcome back Dimmer! Great to see you posting again. I hope your job is going well. The work you do is difficult and dangerous. I think they should give you all hazardous pay for having to be out there on the roads with all the crazy drivers you have to deal with.
That is a beautiful dappled willow tree your Dad gave you! I had to go look it up in PF: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/56310/. It says it grows in my zone so I might have to check some nurseries to see if they carry it. I love the growth habit and that variegated foliage!
