I watched 4 turkey Vultures gliding around yesterday. Two left and went up much higher while the other two stayed at a reasonable height for pics. I know they have a face only a Mother could love but when their up their gliding around I have to stop and watch as I find their flight so peaceful to watch. 5 pics

They are wonderful, Pelle. Fabulous wings. I think if I had vultures (turkey or otherwise) circling above me, I'd be ducking for cover.

The other day when I went to the dump there must have been 20 of them...right there not 6 feet from my car. Of course I didn't have the camera, I mean, who thinks to take a camera to the dump??

These pics are great. I've always liked vultures. Here is a not so good pic of a California Condor I took awhile back. Never expected to see one and ended up seeing several. Just wish I had a decent camera with me.

If you ever make it to the Grand Canyon just look up and you will begin seeing them. There where several near the Grand Canyon lodge. Pretty awesome looking.
