CLOSED: No good at IDing these small birds

The big, brightly colored ones are easy, but these small nondescript birds make my head hurt. There were at least 2 of these playing along the riverbank last Sunday. I got several shots, but none very close. hope someone can help me sort them out.

One more - this one shows what appears to be a white collar partially around the neck.

Look to be Bank Swallows. Were they spending most of their time flying around over the water?

Resin - not really. When I was watching they were mostly hopping around the tree branches. Had I seen them in flight I might well have thought "swallow" - as it was, that never occurred to me. You absolutely amaze me! Checking other images, it appears you're dead on, as usual. Wish I knew your secret(s). You always seem to have the answer.
