Butterfly Bush... cut flowers?

Fort Worth, TX

I have lots, (7), of butterfly bushes and they are so beautiful. I was wondering if you could use them in flower arrangements, would it be ok? Mine have never seen a cut yet and I'm nervous about it but they sure would be beautiful in an arrangement with some of my coneflowers. What do y'all think?

Yes, you can cut them, with no problem. They need to be dead-headed anyway, so no harm will be done. Show us your arrangement!

I will once I do it! Thanks! I have never deadheaded mine before

They bloom on new growth, so if you want to shape it, cut it back, or whatever, no harm will come from it. You can root the cuttings, too - just stick them in moist potting soil, or directly in the ground. Keep the cuttings moist and in the shade and you will have tons of new plants.

I am looking for yellow, white and multi-colored, if you have those.
