I just began collecting Epies about a year ago and am amazed that now eight of my first year plants has blooms coming. I have read here that it is bad to allow the bloom to sap the plants of strength but can not bear to nip the buds. 5/20/09 I had my very first bloom and wanted to share it with you. The picture shown is of Space Rocket and the bloom is a full eight inches across. Beautiful!!! I am excited to see what the future holds for the 100 plus Epies I have started. bob

I am with you, I can't seem to pinch off the bud on mine either unless the cutting looks really bad.
