I'm tired so a few of these the names simply won't come to me. I'll edit tomorrow unless someone else wants to step in and help.

Another that I think is surrounded by some other things that I just can't for the life of me think of the name.

Ok that one was in the same bed with the Salvia. The glad is a beautiful velvety burgandy. This one is of the 4 o'clocks.

It is. I didn't even go to the iris bed or daylily bed with the Chaste Vitex in the middle.

Those are wonderful! I have things that were given to me that I never know what is......so glad that I'm not alone!

Here's a few that I do know what is.....Variagated shell ginger. It's the first time it's ever bloomed for me! Yea!

However when I bought it I thought it was supposed to have a red plumie looking bloom......what a surprise! It's beautiful!

I love hibiscus! I have several, but some of the plants are very small yet so I don't get very many blooms. I need to feed them.

This is a new one I just got from our local nursery. She said that it is a hardy hibiscus. I have it planted outside my kitchen window so that I can see it from the table. I can't wait for it to get really big!

This is a shot of the backyard. My son made me the hut. The high winds last month took some of the palm fronds (sp) down, so it is in need of repair.

I've tried to make it look like my "Little Hawaii". If only I had a mini Pali Mountains and a waterfall! Oh well another project for another day! haha!

AA.... Your second pic of the bleeding heart reminds me of one i lost. It was pretty the first year but barely survived the second and didn't show this year. They are very pretty but not practical in my zone I guess. I am right in between 7b & 8a.

You both have some nice Glads too. Good pics to brighten my morning, thanks ladies!

This is the best I have ever seen Cleopatra's Jewel in my garden. Here I complained yesterday, and today she really shined! Amazing!

I love gardenia as well. Can't grow them here for some reason. Actually there is a reason, high alkaline soil. So oh well.

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

AuntAnne - the flower that Polly gave you is flowering maple - Abutilon.
The second photo is a bleeding heart vine - Clerodendrum thompsonii

Sheila - I have a huge bleeding heart in a big pot - have had it for around 10 years. Each year I take it into the garage to protect it from freezes. It drops its leaves but comes back when the weather warms up. You can take them into the house too - they make a nice evergreen house plant - mine has just gotten too big!

Well it is too late for my BH, but thanks CJ.

Thank you CeeJay. I was absolutely brain dead. I think that Polly has told me that before but I keep forgetting. I need to go write that down.

Signature JACnor hybrid tea rose. Don't know anything about it, except we planted it when we moved in around 2005, and haven't killed it yet. ;-)
