My neighbor has a tree in her yard about 15-20 feet tall and the picture is of a wilted bloom on it. I grew up in Houston and have lived in the area all my life and I do not know what this tree is. I am hoping someone will know what it is. I will also post a picture of part of the tree. Thanks

Thanks aggiegrl for your response. I agree it does look similiar to a small brugmansia bloom..........but I have grown brugmansia for many years and that is not what it is. Please look at the other thread regarding identifying the tree. The thread have gotten separated and I know this must be confusing. This tree has small leaves. If you get a chance look at the other picture that shows some branching.
Again, I appreciate you responding and trying to help me identify this tree. I thought for sure someone at Dave's could help and since I could not find an appropriate fourm other than the Texas forum is why I posted here. I thought at one time there was a help identify forum that covered many things such as plants, insects, etc but they are now specialized as separate forums unto themselves. I know that several years I posted a picture of a tree in my yard and it was identified quickly by some one
I think you're thinking of the Plant and Tree Identification Discussion Forum. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/plantid/all/ You could try posting over there, too. Put all of your photos of the same tree in one thread, that way it is easier for everyone to see them. Do you have a photo of the tree from farther away? A little bit of perspective would probably be helpful.
Thanks so much Marilyn. I had looked though Communities several times today and could not find anything that looked helpful. It was a case of tunnel vision because I was looking for the word identify associated with plants or trees. You have definitely been a great help..........all the time it was right there and I did not see it. I will take a picture tomorrow of a larger area of the tree. It is in a neighbor's yard that lives 2 houses down and she was asking me what kind of tree it was yesterday. I told her that I did not know, but after being a subscriber for years at Dave's, I told her that there was no doubt that someone there could help. I really appreciate you taking the time to point me in the correct direction.
You are very welcome! ^_^
