Newbie pics 3

I've used some natives along the edges and pretty much anything cheap and hardy everywhere else. The critters give me fits!

I love this area and marking it as one of inspirations for my deep shade.
Although I can guess what most of the plants are, the little grass like tufts
are puzzling to me. What are they?
