Does anyone have any experience of landscaping a berm? I have a large berm and I cant' grow grass on it anymore. Would like to try different. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Many have used Vetch but it IS invasive. I planted it here in a spot that doesn't grow much, and it won't grow vetch either! LOL!

Is it shady? sunny? what type soil?

You could try putting down a good weed barrier cloth and plant some type of shrubs or ornamental grasses at the top and then either use mulch, rock or ground cover on the rest of it to prevent soil erosion. How high is the berm? Planting a row of similar plants gives a dramatic effect or you could mix it up with various complementary shrubs and tall perennials or bushes.

You could pose your question in the landscape forum too at this link

I used vinca vine on my berm.

I have Vinca on a shady berm here that slopes down to the woods, and it's beautiful.
