Taking up roller blading....

I roller skated as a kid but it's been decades LOL LOL. My biggest fear is looking like an idiot with all my mishaps haha. Thinking since we have a long drive and we're adding a privacy gate I'll practice there and then move out to the public, we have the perfect place, a kids ballpark with a wide sidewalk that goes all the way around it.

Where's the best place to get skates though? I'm eyeing these at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Rollerblade-Spiritblade-Womens-Skate-Size/dp/B001FOQ8AG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1242752817&sr=1-1 but hesitate to spend quite that much for a hobby that may go south?

FYI: I already checked the local craigslist. None there, not that I want used ones per say.

Mostly needing the encouragement to try this!
